Your day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a journey to the outskirts of Cairo where some of Egypt’s earliest monuments await. Begin at the Saqqara necropolis, home to the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, which is recognized as the oldest large-scale stone construction in the world. While at Saqqara, you’ll also explore Teti’s Pyramid and richly decorated tombs of nobles, which showcase scenes from ancient daily life.

Afterwards, your guide will take you to a charming local restaurant for lunch. The tour continues with a visit to the ancient city of Memphis, once the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Here, you’ll view impressive statues and ruins, including the massive limestone statue of Ramses II.

End the day at Dahshur, where you will admire two remarkable pyramids built by King Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid shows the architectural evolution of pyramid design, while the Red Pyramid is known as the first true smooth-sided pyramid. After your visit, you’ll return to Cairo to relax and enjoy your evening.

Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Cairo Airport to catch your flight to Luxor.

Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and begin your East Bank tour with a visit to Karnak Temple, an enormous religious complex featuring towering columns, sacred pools and ancient sanctuaries. This temple is considered one of the largest of its kind in the world and reflects more than a thousand years of Egyptian architectural evolution.
